Narrative
On 4/24/2014 sunoco personnel were notified via telephone by the public of a crude oil release near the beggs 6" pipeline. Operation personnel immediately notified the control center and the pipeline was shut down. Investigation revealed a pinhole in a weld. A plidco clamp was installed. Approximately 2 barrels reached a small pond and was recovered via vacuum truck and absorbent pads. The affected soil was remediated on site. The line segment has been purged with nitrogen and skillet blinds installed. The line segment will remain down and oos pending evaluation of future use.
