On 4/18/2014 operation personnel discovered a crude oil release on the #2 booster pump at longview station. The station was shut down and the horizontal booster pump was isolated. Investigation revealed that the release was from a failed pump seal. The affected soil was removed for remediation and disposal. The pump is no longer necessary for the current operation and was removed from service on 6/24/2014.
