Approximately 49 bbls of crude oil were released due to operator error. After being unable to isolate the trap for the next mornings pig launching activities, the plains operator failed to properly reinstall the vent plug on the trap door. Once the release was discovered, the vent plug was put back into place. The operator has been retrained on launching and receiving pigs.
