Narrative
On the morning of november 17, 2014, a large barge was being pushed by a tug in 15 foot seas when the tug lost power. The tug could not regain power in a timely manner. An anchor was dropped which snagged texas eastern transmission lp's 16-inch line 41-a-5 natural gas transmission pipeline in east cameron block 321. The anchor completely severed the pipeline causing a substantial release of natural gas.
