On the morning of august 16, 2014 at approximately 1:15 am, a vehicle, driven by an un-licensed, alcohol impaired individual, who was charged with dui, crossed over arnett blvd from guilford st. Jumped over the curb & gutter and traveled an additional 119ft before impacting the side of the apartment complex located at 677 arnett blvd and subsequently impacting a meter set and dislodging the meter from the riser. The impact was such that it pushed the riser section towards the crawl space of the apartment complex and released gas into said space. The gas then proceeded to migrate into the bulding and was ignited, ignition source unknown.
