While replacing a gasket on a booster pump strainer flange, a pneumatically controlled valve was inadvertently opened, causing the release of approximately one barrel of crude oil within a containment area inside nustar logistics, l.P.'s hwy 97 terminal facility. The segment was immediately isolated, and the spilled oil removed. The segment of pipe between the breakout tank and the booster pump was subsequently returned to service.
