Patrol pilot reported the ground had heaved above the pipeline. There was a ball of dry ice approximately 4' in diameter above the pipeline under the soil. The leak was due to a pinhole in a girth weld on the top of the pipe. The leaking pipe was cut out 5' on either side of the weld and replaced.
