During a routine valve inspection on 4/23/2013, diesel was found in the 702 main line valve pit at macungie station. All proper release and emergency notifications were made. The product released was suspected to be historical in nature. Further investigation revealed a drain plug in the valve body that was not completely tightened. The drain plug was tightened and the valve returned to service. All remediation and repairs are complete.
