Narrative
On friday april 5, 2013, during a routine check of wakeman ohio station, a pipeliner discovered a drip of diesel fuel coming off of the unit 2 pump. The pump unit was immediately shut down and all appropriate internal notifications were made. The pump had been recently been re-built by a contractor. The contractor has taken responsibility for this release which was caused by cross threading the pump suction connection. Release quantity is estimated to be 10 gallons. The release was contained on buckeye property and was cleaned up according to procedure using sorbent pads. No outside agencies were notified. No additional remediation is reuired.
