Explorer pipeline started at 01:05. The orb building hazardous gas dectectors went into alarm. Operator immediately noticed the alarms and went to investigate at which point he found the leak and informed the sr. Operator of the situation. The control center was called and the line shut down immediately, including all other lines in and out of the facility until the situation could be assessed. It was determined a npt threaded pipe to stainless tubing connection on the sample line was leaking. The connection was tightened and the other connections were verified.
