Narrative
On september 5, 2012, an 80 barrel spill occurred on the lamesa-munger 10-inch pipeline which ends at the manifold area and continues through the terminal as facility piping at the midland mesa tank farm in midland county, tx. During trenching operations for electrical conduit installation, a second party contractor struck the pipeline with a backhoe. An investigation concluded that the release was due to poor communications resulting in the line location not being identified and marked. Supplemental narrative: the smys and pipe specification in part c was updated per the PHMSA inspector's request.
