On november 20 at 09:30 am local time, clearbrook terminal personnel observed oil within the bermed area of tank 64. The control center was notified and the delivery to tank 64 was stopped so the source of the oil could be investigated. It was discovered that approximately 20 gallons of crude oil had leaked from the north tank mixer. Further examination of the tank mixer revealed the tank mixer shaft seal had failed. The seal was replaced and the mixer put back into service. Cleanup of the site is complete and the contaminated soil will be disposed of at an approved site.
