**this report is for record purpose only. No gas ignition*** on saturday october 29, 2011 the croton fire department reported downed electric wires to the gerc, the gerc notified the bronx/westchester electric control center. At 17:45 the call center reported a strong outdoor gas odor with downed electric wires reported from the public to the gerc. The call center's report indicated the cfd and cpd were on location; the remarks on the ticket stated that the customer reported that the power line ignited his gas line. A code murre was initiated and the gerc dispatched a gds planner and crew. Gds responded, investigated and reported that there were no natural gas readings, no gas odors and no gas ignition. The downed wires were smoking in the street and electric operations-overhead was on location. There were no reported injuries, no media attention; this was an upgraded level incident.
