Narrative
Our local fire dept was dispatched 7/4/11 to a fire outside a residence in a garbage can. Upon arrival the fire dept determined that the fire had caused the diaphragm in the gas regulator (which was adjacent to the garbage) to rupture and release gas to the atmosphere outside. The shut off to the meter set was immediately shut off by fire dept personnel and remaining fire was extinquished with water.Our personnel received the notification of the situation from the fire dept and responded to the scene and made our investigation.
