Baltimore city fire department called for assistance at the address of 5809 key avenue at 2:05 am for a reported explosion. The operators first responder arrived at 2:29 am and after the initial investigation of this incident at 4:30 am, it was determined that this incident met the criteria of a d.O.T. Reportable incident and d.O.T. Was notified at 4:45 am. The gas was turned off at 7:33 am. One person sustained injuries requiring hospitalization. Operator's service facilities was tested and held pressure test that was witnessed by the maryland public service commission. Damage to company's piping as a result of unknown cause subsequent building explosion. Following investigation selective inside operator's piping was able to be recovered and upon examination by the maryland public service commission was free of defects.
