While disconnecting an abandoned meter station from texas eastern transmission 16-inch line 21 a leaking crack in the weld at a thread-o-let was discovered. The 16-inch line was isolated, blown down and repaired by replacing a segment of pipe. Repair to the 16-inch line exceeded $50,000 resulting in a DOT reportable incident.
