While driving along the line, a magellan employee discovered an area where the vegetation appeard to be dead. The line was excavated and a threaded fitting on a stopple was found to be leaking. A temporary repair was made by welding a steel collar over the fitting. A permanent repair was subsequently made by removing the stopples and installing a segment of new pipe which was hydrostatically tested without failure.
