Narrative
The 2-inch steel natural gas main in front of 3810 council grove avenue was excavated to reveal a circumfrential crack in the body of the pipe from the 1 o'clock to 11 o'clock position. The crack was located at a dent and deflection of the gas main that appeared to have been casued by prior excavation activity. The damage was directly over a sewer lateral that had been installed presumably when the house was built in 2000.
