An employee was performing a daily avo (auditory-visual-olfactory) inspection and discovered a leaking seal on the tank mixer attached to breakout tank 300m1. The employee shut down the mixer and notified his supervisor, who called for emergency response equipment and personnel to pickup free standing crude oil and remediate the site. The mixer was locked and tagged out pending the arrival and installation of a new seal. The remediation of the contaminated area is now complete.
