Narrative
On 10/21/2010 at 17:26 at km CO2 mccamey station located in upton county, a relief valve set and calibrated to operate at 2160 psi popped/vented to atmosphere at 2085 psig due to a pressure surge from third party pump facility. The relief duration was from 17:26 until 19:16 at 2030 psi average pressure. The relief valve is installed in a location to protect kinder morgan's pipeline. However, the initial set point was set too low for the established mop of the line. The set point has been reset to 105% of the mop, 2330 psig.
