At 1345 cdt on 17 sep 10 cpl was notified of a release to air near the 6' east feedstock line, approximately 1 mile north of pt. Acres jct. Controller shut down the system and the sour lake maintenance crew blocked in the leaking section, depressured the line and evacuated with nitrogen. When line could be excavated safely, a pin hole leak was found in a butt weld. The leaking section was cut out and replaced.
