This is a "fire first" incident. A fire started inside the shop/garage. The 1/2" cts polyethylene service line melted inside the steel riser releasing natural gas. The regulator and meter were burned in the fire. The structure was a total loss. Natural gas is not believed to have caused or contributed to the fire.
